Getting Even: Even Out Your Eyelids

Do you struggle with uneven eyelids? I know lots of people who have uneven eyelids. It's actually very normal. Your face is not 100% symmetrical. The technique on how I was able to even out my eyelids works better if you already have one natural double eyelid, even if it's little. If you have monolids on both eyes, you might have to wear your tape for longer than 3 months.

I've made a video about how I learned to even out my own eyelids. Have you seen it? Tape works better because it holds on longer and creates a stronger crease than glue. Glue looks the most natural but you do have to reapply it every few hours to maintain your new crease.

I recommend wearing your eyelid tape for at least 22 hours everyday for 3 months straight. Avoid wearing heavy smokey eyes and applying any makeup on the eyelid you're correcting. Eyeliner and mascara are fine. So far my right eyelid fold is now permanently creased in it's new place where it's even with my left eyelid fold.

Share your experience on how you learned to even out your eyelids. Post your before and after pictures on facebook or here on ipsy! I'd love to see them!

I learned how to make my eyelid space appear to be even about 20 years ago when I realized that the line on one had had to be slightly thinner to negate the lack of space, thus making both lids appear to have the same exact space from lash line to crease <3

I like the before pic. Just my own opinion. I am Asian and have hooded eyelids. I think there is nothing wrong with the before picture.

I'm white but I actually have one eyelid that does that! Its hard to even out make eye make up and it makes the one eye look a lot smaller than the other! I've seen Asian girls wearing it but had no idea what they were doing, how does it work?

Hello, but over time of using tape as I understand it , it will stretch out the skin and actually make it worse in the long run???

YES I love this! My eyelids are hooded, and one is slightly more hooded in the outer corner than the other and it makes putting on eyeshadow and liner so frustrating.

I had really bad allergies and rubbed the heck out of one of my eye. One of it now folds higher than the other. Definitely want to give this a try, but I heard some peoples eyelids sag from it. Not sure if its worth it.

Gosh I have the problem every other day! I am anxious to try the eye lid tape or the glue.

This is so amazing, I'm Asian and I didn't know this was a "thing". It even peaked my husband's curiosity, he watched the tutorial with me. This is a great beauty tip/trick. Brava Michelle, Brava!
