Points 101: Everything You Want to Know About Earning and Redeeming Points
Ah, points—one of our favorite topics! Whether this is your first time hearing about points, or you have some sitting in your account as we speak (you might even have an unknown stockpile!), what you really need to know is that more points = more fun. Why? Because points can be redeemed for free beauty products like blush, highlighter palettes, and lip oil. If you ask us, there’s nothing more fun than free faves. Now that we have your attention, let’s explore the wonderful world of points.
Who’s Eligible To Accrue Points?
All members are welcome! If you receive a Glam Bag, BoxyCharm, or Icon Box, you can accrue points. Your active membership is your ticket to even more beauty!
How Can I Earn Points?
One of the things you’ll love about points is that earning them is so easy, and it usually involves activities that help you make the most of your membership in every way. Now that’s what we call multitasking at its finest. Here are four ways to start building up your points balance:
Refer Your Friends: Earn 600 points when your friends sign up for a membership within 24 hours of receiving your unique referral link. To get your unique referral link, head to the points page on your IPSY account.
Write a Product Review: For every product you review in your monthly assortment, you’ll add 15 points to your account. Score! But wait—we almost forgot to mention that your product reviews also help fellow members learn about their products and help us personalize your future bags. Who knew that sharing your thoughts could be so productive?
Follow Us on Social: Head to the points page of your account, and you’ll see our social platforms—Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube—that you can follow for 10 points each. More beauty content you love, plus more points!
Review Your Bag: How was your last bag? Sound off! Review your experience every month, and you’ll earn 10 points each time. (Like a side hustle, but for points.)
What Are the Rewards?
Rewards can include anything from serums to palettes to lip stains, and we update them frequently—so check back often to explore what’s new. To see what’s currently available, head to IPSY.com/points, log in to your account, then click on the “Redeem” tab.
How Do I Redeem My Points?
You can redeem your points at any time. And if you’re in the mood for a little retail therapy, you can even use your points for multiple rewards in one month. The only catch is that you can only select one of each reward item, and quantities are limited—so if you see something you like, act quick!
Once you’ve redeemed your points for a product, your new fave will arrive in next month’s bag (so if you make your points purchase in March, you’ll get your points picks in April). The exception: If you redeem after 12 p.m. PT on the last day of the month, your product will be packed in the month after next’s bag. For example, if you redeem a points item at 5 p.m. PT on June 30, you'll get that points item with your August bag.
