Welcome to ipsy's guidelines for our online community, which includes all the places where ipsy lives on the web, such as ipsy.com, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and Pinterest.
ipsy is about much more than just beauty products. We're about celebrating beauty of all forms in the world. We're about motivation, inspiration, and fostering a community that expresses both inner and outer radiance. We want to create a fun and safe place for ipsters to share their passions, ideas, experiences, and more. ipsy is a community full of diverse voices, and we're all here to support one another and learn new things.
We believe in communicating with one another in the most positive way possible. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Non-constructive negativity doesn't add value to the community experience, so please do not disparage other ipsters, ipsy Creators, products, brands, or ipsy in general. We always welcome your feedback, and there's nothing wrong with a healthy debate or discussion, but please keep it constructive.
We love seeing ipsters help one another. Sharing advice, tips, and tricks is always encouraged. This is your community, so we welcome your partnership to keep the conversation fun, intelligent, and drama-free.
Share what's inspiring you, but remember, if it's not something you've created, get permission to share and give credit where credit's due! (And if you want us to find your work on our social channels, use our hashtags, like #ipsy!)
If you ever have an issue, question, or suggestion, the best and fastest way to get a response is to e-mail ipsyCare. In fact, due to privacy reasons, we cannot use public forums like Facebook to resolve many individual issues. We'll do our best to support you on our social media channels and answer general questions wherever we can, but it is always best to e-mail ipsyCare or Tweet @ipsyCare so they can investigate and help you!
Please extend respect not only to your fellow ipsters and the ipsy Creators, but also to the ipsyCare team! They're real people, here to provide you with stellar service and support, so please be nice. They'll always treat you with dignity and kindness, so we expect you to do the same.
We do not tolerate name-calling; personal, professional, or religious attacks or threats; racist or sexist comments; hate speech (or any comments that could be interpreted as such); demeaning remarks based on personal appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, disability, or sexual orientation.
It's fine to share your ipsy referral link here and there, but please don't spam our social media channels by posting your link more than once per day. Chances are, it won't help you get more referrals, and you'll just end up annoying ipsters who are already subscribed.
We value privacy. Please don't post your own (or another ipster's) phone number, email address, physical mailing address, billing info, or any other personal information. Also, please do not post private correspondence between you and other ipsters, or between you and ipsy.
Impersonating another human being is creepy and just plain wrong. Enough said.
This includes creating fake accounts, committing actual fraud, and generally using dishonest means to take advantage of our services.
If you violate our Community Guidelines:
It's kind of like baseball: you get three strikes before you're out. After your first violation of the Community Guidelines, our ipsyCare team will send you a warning message. You'll receive a second warning message after the second violation. If you commit another violation after that, your user account and subscription will be cancelled (which would just be super lame, so don't let it happen)! If the first or second violation is egregious enough, we reserve the right to ban immediately.
