June’s Glam Bag Design Is Summer in a Bag

The burst of color you’ve been waiting for is here. We’re pulling out all the stops to kick off June correctly (Vibrant shades! Popsicle prints! Cute fruit charms!) and get you in a summer state of mind. Put simply, this month’s Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus designs aren’t afraid to make a statement—and we hope they inspire you to do the same. Show off the colors you love (yes, neutrals count too!), express your style, and savor every moment of summer.

To give you a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making our Glam Bags, we tapped IPSY designer Joanne Wong to give us all the deets, from inspo to design to construction.

MEET THE EXPERT

Joanne Wong is an LA-based senior designer in fashion and accessories.

June 2022 Glam Bag

According to Wong, June’s Glam Bags were inspired by the joy that comes from self-expression, unique beauty, and celebrating our differences. “We also want the colorful bags to spark ideas for playing with makeup and nail art,” Wong adds. So to bring that inspiration to life, June’s Glam Bag designs come in three fun colors that are beautiful in their own rite: bubble gum pink, lemon yellow, and Veri Peri purple—the Pantone color of the year!

As for construction, the June Glam Bags are crafted in a lightweight perforated faux leather that’s accompanied by summer fruit charms (lemons, oranges, and watermelons) on the zipper pulls. We don’t want to play favorites, but these miiiight be our favorites so far. They’re that cute.

June 2022 Glam Bag Plus

We’ve got all your summer plans covered. “The Glam Bag Plus drawstring bag is the perfect bag to carry your summer beauty essentials to kick off your summer,” says Wong. So pack your SPF, your tinted balms, your leave-in conditioners, and hit the beach or pool.

The lemonade yellow microfiber bag features a print of bold pink and orange popsicles with a pop of purple on the nylon drawstring cord. It’s summer as a bag.
