DRUNK ELEPHANT has officially entered the makeup chat—and if its first launch is any indication, it was worth the wait. As the line between skincare and makeup continues to blur, skincare-infused complexion products have become one of beauty's biggest obsessions. So it only makes sense that the brand behind cult-favorite serums and moisturizers would finally debut a complexion product of its own.
Meet the new DRUNK ELEPHANT Kamo Triple-Peptide™ Cover Drops: a skincare-meets-foundation hybrid designed to deliver customizable coverage while helping skin look firmer, smoother, and more even over time. Naturally, we had to put them to the test. After wearing the Cover Drops through a hot summer day, we're sharing everything you need to know—including how they apply, how they wear, and whether this buzzy launch lives up to the hype.
It's about glam time you treated yourself.

What Are the DRUNK ELEPHANT Kamo Triple-Peptide™ Cover Drops?

They Can Be Worn Multiple Ways
The Cover Drops can be worn as a foundation, concealer, or skin tint, depending on the level of coverage you’re hoping to achieve. Use one pump for a sheer tint, two pumps for foundation, or a half pump for concealer.
They’re Clinically Proven to Firm Skin
Infused with peptides and plant oils, they’re clinically proven to visibly firm, smooth, and even tone for healthier-looking skin.
They're More Than Just Foundation
If firmness isn’t what you’re looking for, the Cover Drops address skin concerns such as undereye circles, redness, hyperpigmentation, and texture and fine lines. They’re bringing all the coverage and skincare benefits one could ask for.
They're Built to Last
Offering up to 12-hour wear, the Cover Drops are crease-, transfer-, sweat-, and humidity-resistant. It’s important our makeup stays on through anything.
How to Use the DRUNK ELEPHANT Kamo Triple-Peptide™ Cover Drops
1. Start With Prepped Skin
Follow your skin prep as you normally would before applying the coverage drops. I started by washing my face, then applying the GLOW RECIPE Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops. I then used the TOO FACED Primed & Peachy Hydrating Face Primer before finishing with an SPF. Never forget the SPF.

2. Determine the Level of Coverage You Want
Before applying the drops, determine the level of coverage you want. Again, use fewer pumps for more minimal coverage and more pumps for, well, more coverage. I knew I wanted more coverage, so I went with two drops.
3. Shake the Bottle
Before dispensing the Cover Drops, be sure to shake the bottle thoroughly to evenly distribute the formula. This is also stated on the bottle, though I know some of you may skip reading the instructions (don’t worry, I’m guilty of doing the same thing).
4. Dispense the Product Onto Your Fingers
Generally, I like to apply foundations and the like with my hands. I find it gives me better coverage. You’re also welcome to use a BEAUTYBLENDER® or brush to apply the product.

5. Smooth the Cover Drops Across Your Complexion
After dispensing the Cover Drops onto your fingers or tools, smooth the product over your complexion. Really work it onto your face, ensuring an even finish.
6. Complete Your Makeup Look
Once your coverage is complete, finish the look with additional makeup products. I kept it simple, filling in my brows, applying mascara, and putting on a lip before heading out the door. It was way too hot to be doing too much, hence the minimal look. Plus, the Cover Drops do most of the work for me.

My Experience With the DRUNK ELEPHANT Kamo Triple-Peptide™ Cover Drops
Skincare-makeup hybrid products are my favorite thing. As someone who doesn’t like to spend a lot of time getting ready but wants to look flawless, the fewer products I need to use to achieve a seamless base, the better. That is also to say that I have tried my fair share of skincare-based makeup products, so I can be a bit picky.
I thoroughly enjoyed these Cover Drops from DRUNK ELEPHANT. I appreciate the multiple levels of coverage they offer, which isn’t often found in a foundation product. They’re also meant to mix well with additional DRUNK ELEPHANT products, such as moisturizers, serums, and oils.
While I opted for higher coverage, I appreciated that I couldn’t feel it on my complexion. I could see the redness coverage working overtime to mask my blemishes, though it didn’t feel heavy on my skin. The product is noncomedogenic, so that reassures me as someone with acne-prone skin.
At $42, it's definitely an investment, only because I can see myself using this on a regular basis, meaning I will work through it somewhat quickly. However, I am more than willing to pay the price for the multi-level coverage I can achieve.
Final Thoughts on the DRUNK ELEPHANT Kamo Triple-Peptide™ Cover Drops
Love a skincare-makeup hybrid product? Want something with multi-level coverage? The DRUNK ELEPHANT Kamo Drops may be just the thing you need. They’re packed with skin-loving ingredients, allowing you to blur the look of imperfections in the blink of an eye, and they’re even known to improve your skin over time.
The range includes 25 shades across a variety of undertones. I had no trouble finding a good match for my light skin tone, though I'd love to see the brand continue expanding the range over time.
