This month’s Glam Bag, Glam Bag Plus, and Glam Bag X designs are bursting at the seams with blooms and made to let your imagination run wild. Whether it’s a fresh bouquet on your table or botanical formulas that bring your inner glow to the outside, create an environment that inspires—with your all-new Glam Bag by your side.*

To give you a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making our Glam Bags, we tapped IPSY designer Joanne Wong to give us all the deets from inspo to design to construction.

May 2022 Glam Bag

“May is full of life and radiating with beauty,” says Wong. “We were inspired by the abundance of roses and wanted to capture them with watercolor motifs and hand-printed florals,” Wong tells us, pointing out the main elements of her design. The May Glam Bag features Wong’s rosy florals on one side with a solid pink on the other side for contrast.

Notice something new about this month’s design? Breaking away from our traditional postcard-shaped construction, the IPSY team opted for a half-moon shape for added versatility. “The unique shape can easily be used as a hand clutch,” adds Wong.

May 2022 Glam Bag Plus

With Mother’s Day as a major focus for the month (It’s May 8th, BTW!), using traditionally feminine shades of pink was a natural choice. “The combination of the floral print and rosy hues brings elegance and softness,” explains Wong.

The May Glam Bag Plus pouch is constructed with an ultra-cozy microfiber and blush-toned drawstring cord—which conveniently doubles as gift wrap. “Pop your gift and card inside with a little tissue paper and your bag instantly transforms into a reusable (and gorgeous) gift bag,” says Wong.

May 2022 Glam Bag X

As if this month wasn’t exciting enough, it’s also an upgrade month! With Madelaine Petsch as May’s Glam Bag X curator, we spared no detail in crafting the perfect accessory for your self-care routines at home and on the go. This faux leather makeup bag is a travel companion from top to bottom with the same romantic print, soft pink lining, and rose gold (!!!) zippers.

“I love that it’s both a makeup and jewelry bag. The half-moon compartment on top stores your makeup, while the easy access compartment below organizes your favorite necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets,” says Wong. “Plus, the elastic band inside secures your hair ties and scrunchies to keep them from floating around!”
