November’s Glam Bag Design Is Slithering Into Our Hearts

Iconic, timeless, and striking—November’s slinky bag is giving runway opulence circa ’97, when animal prints were in full prowl. Designer Joanne Wong’s vision of a bag that fit the season had to feature motifs from the past mixed with current fall trends, though she made sure to deviate from conventional themes that are all too common to the season. 

“We always want our Glam Bags to inspire Ipsters into trying something different than what’s expected,” says Wong. “Last November, our pink and purple Glam Bags were leaning toward demure and cutesy. This year, I wanted November’s bag to give a completely different look—cool and edgy.”

Of all the animal prints, Wong chose the ice-cold snakeskin pattern for its inherent stylishness and versatility. “This Glam Bag can easily pair neutral colors, such as black, white, and brown, but it also works surprisingly well with bolder colors, like reds and purples.”

Wong made sure to add in a feature that would make the serpent print shine, too. “To kick off the holiday season, I took some inspo from festive and shimmery makeup looks, metallic packaging, and sparkling holiday decor,” says Wong. “I wanted to add some eye-catching touches to the snakeskin bag so that it stood out as a statement piece, too.” 

Ipsters who appreciate a bit more color will find it’s what’s inside that counts. Once unzipped, this bag reveals a gorgeous royal-purple lining that really pops against the metallic faux-leather fabric. The wristlet strap makes it the perfect accessory to bring with you for a night on the town. “I can use it as a makeup bag or as an evening clutch to go out,” says Wong. “I can just have my bag dangling from my wrist while holding my drink at the same time.” It’s the versatility for us.
