Blend and Snatched

One thing Charli xcx knows how to do is make you look where she wants you to look, whether that’s at her new album cover, her gorgeous Italian wedding party photos, or her eyes, thanks to this snatched makeup look. The key to drawing the eye upwards using just makeup application is careful placement of highlighter, contour, and concealer. 

Do your makeup as you normally would, and draw on a sharp cat eye in inky black marker. For that, we love the IL MAKIAGE Black Card Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. Then grab your concealer that’s about one to two shades lighter than your natural skin tone, and draw a line underneath your winged eyeliner going upwards, towards your temples. Draw your contour on with a stick, like the MISCHO BEAUTY Contour Stick, also angling upwards, creating a parallel line from the concealer lifted line you just drew. The overall effect of the eye is that everything feels “snatched” upwards, a la Charli. 

Goth Babe

Go ahead and refer to this look as the new era of smoky eyes. Gone are the days of deepening the smoky effect by contrasting it with a glittery silver shade reminiscent of the Hannah Montana days. What we love about Charli’s new smoky look is that it deepens the all black effect by drawing out a messy eyeliner look around the under eyes. To get this effect at home, draw on your eyeliner by dipping a wet flat brush into black eyeshadow. Pat on the eyeshadow as an eyeliner and buff it out so it looks perfectly smoked out and undone.  

Red Vinyl

Charli rarely uses color in her makeup looks (save that for Zara Larsson), but when she does, she still puts an edgy spin on it, like she did with this electric red look.
