“It started with a moodboard of Marilyn, her iconic pink dress, red lips, old Hollywood glam, and that confident energy,” says Wong. “I wanted to bring her signature look to our bags.” From there, the concept split into two distinct directions: one rooted in classic glamour, the other in bold, modern expression. Think: timeless, but turned all the way up.

Because this month isn’t about subtlety. It’s about showing up and being seen...Marilyn-style.

The Glam Bag: Your Main Character Moment

June’s IPSY Original Glam Bag design channels vintage Hollywood with a high-shine satin finish and an oversized bow that feels straight out of a red carpet fantasy. (Or, more realistically, your mirror when you’re feeling yourself before a girl’s night out.)

“For the Glam Bag, I chose satin to capture that soft and glamorous shine,” says Wong. “It was inspired by Marilyn’s iconic hot pink dress with the large bow detail.”

“The biggest challenge was getting the bow construction right,” Wong adds. “We wanted it to feel soft but still hold its shape.” Mission accomplished.
