In the kingdom of gourmand fragrances, few scents are as iconic and delectable as vanilla. A whiff of vanilla, and you’re transported to your favorite bakery, enveloped by the smell of freshly baked pastries as you walk through the door—or you’re cozied up on the couch with a blanket, a warm drink, and the fireplace crackling beside you. You know that vibe. And lucky for us vanilla fans (and even skeptics), MAISON LOUISE MARIE has managed to capture it in their No. 15 Vanille Infinie Eau de Parfum, which wearers tout as a “beauty, easy vanilla” that is equal parts elevated and sophisticated—or, put another way, “quiet confidence in a bottle.”
With reviews this good, we had to try it for ourselves. Featuring key notes of citron, sugared amber, and vanilla flower, this sweet gourmand scent sounded good enough to eat. But did it live up to the hype? Let’s see whether four IPSY staffers thought this scent was worth another spritz—or skipping altogether.
It's about glam time you treated yourself.

“A vanilla fragrance is what I gravitate towards often,” shared Logan. “I look for a scent that not only smells delicious to me but is delicious to others as well.”
Logan’s current go-to perfume is COMMODITY Milk, which has notes of warm marshmallow and mahogany wood. She actually found it similar to MAISON LOUISE MARIE No. 15 “in the sense that they are both sweet and warm,” though the latter was a little bit lighter and fresher (read: perfect for spring). In fact, she said, “Spraying this perfume for the first time sent me right back to my hometown. Growing up, I was surrounded by so many orange, cherry, and almond blossoms in the spring.”
Logan is also into scents that are “distinctive but not aggressive.” She says, “I want someone to lean in and ask what scent I’m wearing,” not “the room knew I arrived five minutes ago.” So did MAISON LOUIS MARIE No. 15 deliver? “My sister loved it and asked what I was wearing!”
So—skip or spritz? That’s a definite spritz from Logan.

Suzan knows what she likes—and what she likes is sweet, warm, and cozy. “I’m naturally drawn to slightly gourmand fragrances that feel addictive but still soft and feminine,” she shared. Vanilla, in particular, is a note she reaches for often, especially when it’s creamy and smooth rather than sharp or overpowering.
That’s exactly why MAISON LOUISE MARIE No. 15 fit right into her existing rotation. “It has the sweetness I gravitate toward, but it feels more refined and airy than some of my heavier vanilla perfumes,” she said. On first spray, she noticed a soft, creamy vanilla with a delicate floral lift—sweet, but not cloying.
As the day went on, the fragrance settled into a warmer, cozier skin scent, with subtle woody undertones that kept it from feeling overly sugary. “It’s the kind of perfume that gets those close-up ‘You smell so good’ compliments,” Suzan noted—exactly the reaction she loves.
When would she wear it? Pretty much anytime. From brunch to date night, especially in cooler months when comfort is key, this one earned a permanent spot on her shelf.
Verdict: a definite spritz, especially for vanilla lovers who want something grown and polished.

Maddie typically lives on the opposite end of the fragrance spectrum. Her go-to scents are clean, subtle, and barely-there, the kind people notice without immediately clocking as perfume. “I want it to smell effortless,” she explained, “like this is just how I naturally smell.” Vanilla, historically, hasn’t been her thing.
But No. 15 surprised her. On first spray, the bright, fresh top notes felt familiar and easy, easing her in. As it wore on, the scent softened into something warmer and creamier, thanks to the vanilla flower, amber, and cashmere woods. “It reminded me of getting ready for dinner on vacation—windows open, golden hour light, skin still warm from the day,” she said. Cozy, but still cool.
Throughout the day, the fragrance lingered more noticeably than her usual fresh scents. “I tend to go nose-blind to my everyday perfumes, but this felt like a gentle reawakening of my sense of smell,” Maddie shared. While it’s richer than her daily go-to, it never felt overpowering or overly sweet.
For her, this is an evening scent—a spritz before dinner, date night, or anytime she wants to feel a little more put-together and quietly sexy.
The verdict? A spritz, especially for clean-scent lovers who think they don’t like vanilla…yet.

Susan wouldn’t say she has a vanilla aversion, per se…but it’s definitely not her scent of choice, with her go-to perfumes being two citrusy florals: TOCCA Bianca and BYREDO Bal D’afrique. That’s why her first impression of MAISON LOUISE MARIE No. 15 surprised her. “I thought, ‘Yum! This is actually really nice for a vanilla scent,’” she shared, “because I wasn’t expecting to like it. Sometimes vanilla scents can lean too saccharine or overpowering, but this was much more restrained.”
And she wasn’t the only one who liked it. Susan said, “My toddler said, ‘Mommy, you smell good!’”—the ultimate compliment coming from the most honest of critics. Toddler parents, IYKYK. Plus, even though this scent was kid-approved, she could see it pairing perfectly with date night, thanks to its cozy, sweet, and inviting notes. She also notes that she would recommend this fragrance to anyone. “It’s sweet and warm without being overwhelming, so I think anyone can find something they like about this fragrance. If you’re not sure about vanilla, this feels like an approachable entry into the scent profile—and if you’re a vanilla lover, you’re likely already a fan of the comforting, creamy notes.”
The verdict? She thinks this MAISON LOUISE MARIE pick is worth a spritz.
So, is MAISON LOUISE MARIE No. 15 Vanille Infinie Eau de Parfum worth the spritz? Across four testers with wildly different scent preferences, the answer was a near-universal yes. Whether you’re a full-on vanilla devotee, a clean-scent loyalist, or someone who swears vanilla “isn’t for you,” this fragrance proves that the note can be warm, elevated, and surprisingly versatile. Soft yet confident, cozy without being cloying, and refined enough for everyday wear or date night alike—this is one of those scents that quietly earns its place in your rotation.
