Celebrity beauty brands are a dime a dozen these days. I know; I’ve pretty much tried them all. But the famous faces I trust are the ones that feel authentic. That’s why artist, actress, and activist Becky G launching TRESLÚCE BEAUTY makes so much sense. Her on-stage looks have inspired others, not to mention her major beauty deals, such as being the youngest-ever COVERGIRL spokesperson.

Becky G has been into makeup since she was a little girl. “I would go into my mom’s bag and play with whatever was in my reach,” Becky G said of her first memories of makeup. “My play time always included makeup and getting creative. I would even do makeup for my cousins and tias for fun.”

The pop star launched TRESLÚCE BEAUTY in June 2021 with a splash. More than a year later, I’m excited to say I have my favorites from the brand, products that are kept in constant rotation in my makeup bag. Keep reading to find yours.

It's about glam time you treated yourself.

My Thoughts on TRESLÚCE BEAUTY

Becky G set out to celebrate her Latinx culture and community with TRESLÚCE BEAUTY, and you can see it within all the products. It starts with the name: TRESLÚCE is a combination of the Spanish words tres (three) and lucir (to look good). “Three is my favorite number because it holds a special, spiritual meaning for me, and the number is also representative of generational impact in my family,” Becky G has previously said. “Bringing in ‘luce’ came from the Spanish saying, ‘te luce bien,’ meaning, ‘you look good.’”

It’s incredible to see her culture throughout the products and even the packaging. Intenso Liners, Ready to Bounce Cream Blush, and the I Am Shadow Palette were created using ingredients sourced from suppliers in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Even the bold blue packaging features artwork from talented Latinx artists. Yes, she’s walking the walk.

Just swatch the products post-unboxing and you can tell this isn’t your typical celeb beauty brand. The formulas are creamy and ultra-pigmented. Even if Becky G wasn’t involved, the products would stand on their own. There are only a handful of celebrity brands I can say that about, Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez being one of them. I especially love that TRESLÚCE BEAUTY is PETA Beauty Without Bunnies-approved, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly.

I sat in front of my mirror to do a full face using this makeup collection to find out my favorites, whether going for a glam look or a more natural vibe. Here are the ones I’ll be using again and again:

Top Products From TRESLÚCE BEAUTY

1. TRESLÚCE BEAUTY I Am Shadow Palette

With 18 mattes and shimmers in both bold and neutral shades, there’s truly an infinite number of eye looks you can create with this eyeshadow palette. The rich, pigmented shadows are infused with Mexican blue agave so they’re seriously blendable. For added glam, I like applying a bit of setting spray on a makeup brush, for instance from the Like An Artista Brush Set, to make the shimmers even bolder.

2. TRESLÚCE BEAUTY Intenso Liners

There are a whopping 15 shimmer and matte gel liner pencils in shades that go perfectly with the I Am Shadow Palette. The creamy liners glide onto the skin and somehow literally last all day long without smudging. I like using the shades Cómica (Matte Orange) and Amor (Matte Red) as lip liners, too. Talk about a two-for-one.

3. TRESLÚCE BEAUTY Lucete Highlighter Palettes

Before even trying this palette, I knew Becky G would nail highlighter. The girl is always glowing. This highlighter palette, in two options for Fair/Light and Medium/Tan skin, does not disappoint. The formula is buttery soft, thanks to vitamin E and Mexican blue agave, and stays on even without a setting spray. Although Lucete Glow (Fair/Light) worked best for my skin tone, I found the two darker shades in Lucete Shimmer (Medium/Tan) worked as a beautiful bronzer.

4. TRESLÚCE BEAUTY Eterno Liquid Liner

I love a liquid liner for a night out and these eyeliners are some of the best I’ve tried. The petite brush tip made for a precise application, even with my slightly unsteady hands. The formula is waterproof and smudge-proof so it didn’t budge even in Los Angeles during a heatwave. I found La Noche (Deepest black) to be the perfect opaque black, and now I’m excited to try the other two shades: ierra (Espresso) and En el Mar (Cobalt).

5. TRESLÚCE BEAUTY Ilusión Premium Vegan Lashes

While I wait patiently for the brand to launch mascara, I’m wearing these cruelty-free faux lashes. There’s a set for every occasion. I like Sueño 3D lashes for a daytime affair, and Fantasy 5D when I really want to turn up the volume. They’re lightweight too, so I’m not rushing home to remove them. But when I do, the Mi Tesoro Lash Case keeps them safe.
