Not to brag (but to brag), I get a ton of compliments on my skin. While a few have come from facialists and skincare experts, they’re usually received when I’m in the office or out with friends. As I work in beauty, I’m usually wearing makeup. So what they think is my skin… isn’t. More specifically, it’s the LYS BEAUTY Triple Fix Blurring Skin Tint Foundation Stick.

My makeup-free complexion before application.

I don’t wear a ton of makeup, because I am lazy, so a skin tint is my preferred method of covering imperfections. And this one always does the trick. So much so that people believe it’s my own complexion, whether it’s the only thing I’m wearing or I’m all done up.

If you’re not a fan of concealer or foundation, but want something that offers buildable coverage, this is the product for you. Discover what makes it unique, how to use it, and see the results for yourself below.

It's about glam time you treated yourself.

What Makes the LYS BEAUTY Triple Fix Blurring Skin Tint Foundation Stick So Special

Like I mentioned, I’m lazy. I like to wear makeup, but when I do, I keep it simple. Even for special occasions, it usually consists of a foundation, blush, mascara, lip, and maybe some glitter on the lids—nothing too extravagant. I was previously using foundation and concealer, but felt like they didn’t do me justice—and didn’t quite feel like me. One evening while scrolling through TikTok, I kept getting videos recommending the LYS BEAUTY Triple Fix Blurring Skin Tint Foundation Stick. They all emphasized how it provided excellent coverage without feeling too heavy. I was sold. The next day, I went to the mall, got matched and headed home to try the skin tint for myself. Since then, I’ve never used any other base.

My skin after application (that glow though!).

Besides the coverage it provides, what I love most is that it’s a serum, primer, and foundation all in one. For someone who isn’t always the best at remembering to apply a primer, this is a skin-saving product. Plus, it’s formulated with nourishing green tea extract, watermelon seed extract, and rosehip oil to provide all-day hydration. I have combination skin, and this skin tint keeps the dry parts hydrated and the oily bits matte, never budging when I need it to last.

Coming in a twist-up stick formula, it’s easy to apply. I literally use my fingers because that works best for me. You can use a brush or sponge, but don’t knock using your hands to lay it down smooth. The formula is also buildable, making it easy to add more when I need fuller coverage. Sometimes I’ll do a touch up under my eyes if I’m running from work to a night out with friends.

How to Use the LYS BEAUTY Triple Fix Blurring Skin Tint Foundation Stick

Using the skin tint stick is incredibly easy, but I’ll walk you through how I apply it on any given day.

Step 1: Start With Prepped Skin

While this skin tint stick works as a serum and primer, I still do minor skin prep. I start with a quick cleanse, then add whichever serum I’m feeling that day, and finish with sunscreen—the most crucial product in my beauty routine. Wait a few minutes for everything to set, then move on to the next step.

Step 2: Go in With a Little

I start with a few single-swipe applications all around my face. I do a 3 on the right side of my face, a backward 3 on my left, a swipe on my forehead, then a little on the chin and nose (hopefully the image of my placement helps). I find this serves as a great starting base, but I can always add more if I need.

Here's where I apply the foundation stick.

Step 3: Wash Your Hands

Because I like to blend the foundation stick with my fingers, I make sure to diligently wash my hands before doing so. If you plan on following my routine, please do the same to keep your skin clean.

Step 4: Blend With Your Fingers

I use my fingers and blend in a circular motion to get the skin tint all over and onto my complexion. Again, you can use a brush or sponge, if you prefer. But I’ve found that using my fingers helps to create a more natural blend.

Step 5: Add More Coverage Where Needed

Once blended, assess to see if you’d like more coverage. Go in with a bit more product where you need it and blend with your preferred method.

Step 6: Complete the Look and Set It

Finish your look with any additional products you want, whether that’s only mascara, blush, and a lip like I used here, or add a little more. Just don’t forget to set the look with a setting spray of your choosing.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a product that provides buildable coverage, but still leaves your skin feeling and looking mostly like your skin, the LYS BEAUTY Triple Fix Blurring Skin Tint Foundation Stick is calling your name. It gives you that extra evenness and concealment without feeling too heavy or cakey on your complexion. Experience your skin but better and take in all the compliments. I know I do!
