It’s time to dig out your old faves from the back of your closet, millennials, because mint is the color of the spring/summer season. With other Y2K trends like thin eyebrows and frosted makeup making their return, it’s no surprise that Millennial Mint was the next to get its resurgence.

Now, celebrities like Taylor Swift, Sarah Pidgeon, and Sadie Sink are wearing the hue on red carpets or nights out. But beyond fashion, we see Millennial Mint making a big impact in the beauty space. Not only does it lend itself to the perfect summer nail color, but it also adds a fun pop of color, bridging the gap between clean girl makeup and maximalist makeup. Read on to learn more about Millennial Mint!

It's about glam time you treated yourself.

What Is Millennial Mint?

Millennial Mint is a pastel green hue that was often worn as a pop of color when going out. While we loved to pair it with a chevron-print top or dress and a statement necklace, the color was pretty much ubiquitous in the early 2010s.

If you thought Millennial Pink was big, it had nothing on how often we were wearing Millennial Mint.

Why Is Millennial Mint Trending?

Millennial Mint is being endorsed by those who set the trends—including both celebrities and high-fashion brands. From the runways to the red carpets, the color is showing up in ballet flats, handbags, dresses, and more. Then, it trickles down to the masses. We’ll save you Miranda Priestly's "cerulean" speech from "The Devil Wears Prada."

More than seeing it worn by celebrities and models on runways, it taps into nostalgia. Many of us remember wearing the hue in the 2010s. Others of us wish we were around during those simpler times. We’ve seen other Y2K trends make their return, so we aren’t shocked that this one is having its time in the sun.
