Plenty of skincare brands boast a cult following, but FIRST AID BEAUTY is one that sticks out. With a focus on clean, dermatologist-tested ingredients, the skincare label works well for all skin types (even the most sensitive), and is backed by a roster of obsessed beauty editors, skin-fluencers, and dermatologists. There’s an “if you know, you know,” feeling behind the brand—and, well, we want to know!

We put the hype to the test with our own review of FIRST AID BEAUTY products. Our IPSY investigation found their formulas gentle yet effective, and the products surprisingly affordable (most of the line rings in under $50). Ahead, see all the best FIRST AID BEAUTY products we tried, from rich moisturizers to gentle yet effective cleaners.

It's about glam time you treated yourself.

1. FIRST AID BEAUTY Deep Cleanser with Red Clay

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-01

This powerful cleanser gets into all the nooks and crannies you wish your other cleansers did. After just one use, we found even our most clogged pores were cleared (and without that tight or stripped feeling). A small amount of product goes a long way, and creates a nice, foaming lather.

That said, the effectiveness of this deep cleanser makes it great as a once-a-week treatment, rather than something in your daily routine. With ingredients like red clay and rosemary leaf oil, this product packs a punch for those prone to breakouts or oily skin, since it’ll balance sebum production.

2. FIRST AID BEAUTY Ultra Repair Cream

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-02

This product may be the closest we ever get to our dream moisturizer. Not only does it hydrate and soothe our skin for days, but it does so with a lightweight texture, so you don’t feel totally slathered up. Spreading this whipped moisturizer across our skin felt like a luxe experience (even though it only cost us $30). Our faces were left feeling silky and smooth thanks to skin-strengthening ingredients like ceramides, colloidal oatmeal, and oxygen. Though anyone could add this cream into their routine for added moisture, we’d recommend it most for people with combination or dry skin.

3. FIRST AID BEAUTY White Clay Acne Treatment Pads 2% Salicylic Acid

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-03

Acne-prone skin is also prone to irritation, so finding an effective treatment that doesn’t cause more damage to the skin can be difficult. Salicylic acid isn’t exactly a gentle solution, but FIRST AID BEAUTY somehow developed a 2% salicylic acid pad that doesn’t burn when you swipe it across sensitive skin (not even when running over massive pimples). We noticed that with daily use, these pads cleared up our breakouts and kept our skin looking glowy, thanks to ingredients like oil-absorbing kaolin clay, antiseptic tea-tree oil, and exfoliating willow-bark extract.

4. FIRST AID BEAUTY Brighten + Glow Moisturizer With Vitamin C

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-04

For an instant, dewy glow, reach for this brightening moisturizer. We noticed visible results after only a few uses—likely thanks to its healthy dose of vitamin C, which helps fade away dark spots and acne scars. We did notice a strong tingling sensation when applying this product for the first time, although that sensitivity seemed to decrease after continued use. Overall, we’re impressed with how much of a difference this moisturizer made in such a short amount of time.

5. FIRST AID BEAUTY KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub 10% AHA Fresh Strawberry

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-05

After testing out this body scrub, we can confidently confirm this is the one FIRST AID BEAUTY product you can’t live without. The cult-famous scrub genuinely lives up to the hype, and we discovered its creamy base and fine grain texture gives us a thorough exfoliation—without rubbing our skin raw. Lactic and glycolic acids work together with pumice buffing beads to smooth rough areas and bumps.

We found we got the best results with this product when we went light on the pressure, letting the formula do most of the work. Plus, it helps to get your skin wet before application to minimize your risk of any irritation.

6. FIRST AID BEAUTY Ultra Repair Oil-Control Moisturizer

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-06

We loved how soft and supple our skin felt after using this moisturizer. Formulated with oil-absorbing microspheres and oil-control technology, it kept our complexion shine-free while still hydrating our skin. One reviewer called it “perfect” for humid weather because it doesn’t have that “extra sweaty, greasy feeling” that other moisturizers might. If you live in a climate that’s constantly damp (or have an oily skin type), this product will be your go-to for rich hydration without that slimy feel. Plus, we found it keeps our makeup from sliding around.

7. FIRST AID BEAUTY Pure Skin Face Cleanser

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-07

Keeping sensitive skin happy is a struggle we’re all too familiar with. So when we came across this fragrance-free cleanser—which is also pH balanced—we were pretty excited to test it out. We found that this wash left our skin feeling soothed, calm, and nourished. It lathered up into an emollient and gentle formula, which effectively cleansed our skin without leaving it overly stripped. For that reason, we’d recommend this product for those with redness or acne-prone skin.

8. FIRST AID BEAUTY Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-08

Finding a great moisturizer is a blessing in itself, but finding one with sunscreen in it is the ultimate skincare score. We noticed that when applied, this product did have a noticeable sunscreen smell (you know the one), but it left our skin feeling soft and dewy nonetheless. We love simplifying our skincare routine where we can, and this moisturizer delivers all-day hydration and sun protection in a single step. As a heads up, though: We also noticed a slight white cast after applying this product, so it might be better suited for an outdoor workout or beach day rather than an everyday staple.

9. FIRST AID BEAUTY Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Cream

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-09

While we were skeptical at first, we found that this niacinamide eye cream brightened and smoothed our dark circles and under-eye bags—but only with consistent, twice-a-day use. That said, a little goes a long way, and the product’s peach micropearls help color-correct dark shadows for an immediate radiant look. “I literally did a double take because I swear it made a difference quickly,” wrote one Ipster in a review. “Plus, my makeup lays nicely over this eye cream.” With a texture that’s not too thin and not too thick, this eye cream won’t leave your skin feeling tacky or greasy, making it perfect for layering under your everyday glam.

10. FIRST AID BEAUTY Ultra Repair Oat + Hemp Seed Dry Oil

best-first-aid-beauty-products-review-10

For us, the ideal face oil doesn’t have a greasy texture and absorbs quickly, so we can move on to applying makeup or going to bed without getting product everywhere. This oat and hemp seed dry oil seems to do just that, and we noticed it sunk right into our skin without leaving an oily residue. Though the strong eucalyptus and rosemary smell of the product caught us a little off guard, the soothing feeling of applying the oil was worth it. In our opinion, people with dry or distressed skin will find this product especially calming.
