We’re preparing for a Slayyyter summer. We’ve been listening to the singer for ages, but have become fully mesmerized after that record-breaking Coachella set. Oh, what we would’ve given to have been there. Her chart-topping “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA” album has already gone triple platinum in our household. We cannot stop listening. Her vibe is the party girl we’ve always wanted to be, something we’re definitely trying to emulate this summer.
At the moment, we’re truly obsessed with Slayyyter’s beauty looks, especially her beachy waves. The texture and the grittiness make them the ideal summer hairstyle choice, even if you’re not a wannabe party girl like us (or an actual party girl like Slayyyter). If you want to achieve these waves on your own, we’ll take you through the steps so you’re ready for the season with style.
It's about glam time you treated yourself.

Created by hairstylist Ricky Fraser, these waves are easy to recreate on your own strands. No matter if your hair is long or short, these steps can work for all hair lengths. But don’t be afraid to add some inches if you want to…more on that later.
Before you take a waver or a curling iron to your hair, consider adding extra length to your hair. Even if your hair is already long, it won’t hurt to add a few extra inches when recreating this look. You can easily opt for temporary length, like clip-in extensions. Or go a little more permanent with tape-in extensions. Of course, you’re not required to add extra length, but we highly recommend giving it a try for the fun of it all.
After showering and washing your hair, towel-dry and spritz on the OLAPLEX Volumizing Blow Dry Mist. This reparative blow-dry mist provides lasting body and bounce while helping protect hair from heat, leaving it visibly soft, shiny, and healthy.
You don’t need to do anything fancy here, like a full-on blowout. Just blow-dry your hair as you normally would to ensure it’s dry before using hot tools on it.
Once your hair is thoroughly dried, divide it into sections to make the extension application a little easier. Again, this isn’t necessary, just a pro tip to make the process smoother. Even if you opt out of extensions, sectioning your hair is still helpful for the next step of waving your hair.
Starting with the bottom section of your hair, take the ADAGIO Tourmaline-Infused 25mm Waver on one-inch sections of hair, lightly clamping as you work your way down. Repeat the movement as you work through the middle and top sections.
Don’t have a waver on hand? You can also achieve this texture by using a curling iron or wand. We like mixing and matching the spiral wand and curling iron in the INH HAIR 3-in-1 Quick Change Styler, which adds extra texture and volume.
Ensure your waves stay put and wavy all day by applying a wave spray, like the VOIR Rainforest Mist: Waves Texturizing Hairspray. Spritz onto your hair and use your fingers to gently shake and break apart waves to give your hair that extra bit of texture.
Slayyyter’s signature look isn’t complete without a trucker hat, so yours isn’t either. After all, it’s the perfect accessory to keep the sun off your face.
