There’s nothing we love more than a party. But sometimes, even we need to recharge our batteries so we have the energy it takes to be extra. In our opinion, a little R&R shouldn’t come with a big price tag. We think self-care should be for everyone, so we’re sharing our favorite tips for creating the ultimate at-home spa day.

1. Set the Mood

First and foremost, you need the right ambiance. Dim the lights, then light up your favorite candles. We’re partial to Otherland’s colorful packaging and delicious scents. (But we also may or may not have a new favorite launching in a few months…) Then, throw on some background music. Nothing too sad or serious please – Spotify’s Chill Vibes playlist is our go-to!

2. Prep the Skin

There are a few tricks to make the products you’re using work even harder. One: head-to-toe exfoliation. It sloughs away dirt, oil, and dead skin, helping to unclog pores. A must for any at-home spa day! Use a gentle facial exfoliator like TruFora Triple Action and a brightening body scrub. Don’t have one? We might be able to help with that soon. ;) Second trick: a niceee facial steam. Vanity Planet makes the perfect little facial steamer that helps open up pore for optimal product absorption. Plus, it can help soften, hydrate, and detox skin. For a little extra aromatherapy, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the steamer – maybe dab some on your wrists and forehead too!

3. Give yourself a facial massage.

Nothing can relax you quite like a full-body massage, but a facial massage is a quick and easy way to feel pampered at home. Embrace your inner masseuse, and use your fingers to massage your skin in upward sweeping motions. For an extra dose of relaxation, soak in a bubble bath while you massage your face with wet fingers. Bonus: facial massage helps increase circulation.

Another option is to use a facial roller, like GRACE & STELLA Rose Quartz Facial Roller. This roller is more than just a pretty pink tool—it de-stresses your skin, soothes puffiness, and can help reduce fine lines. Plus, it’s dual-sided, so it lets you get into both larger areas, like your cheeks and forehead, and smaller ones, like around your eyes and nose. Start at the center of your face and glide outward smoothly using light to medium pressure.

4. Mask and Relax

Now that your skin is ready to soak in some goodness, fill the tub with a few squeeze of Pearly Body Wash. It creates plenty of suds and is full of clean ingredients like Vitamin C, Olive Oil, and Shea Butter. A trifecta of moisture, vitamins, and antioxidants! Slap on your favorite face mask while you’re at it.

5. Try a Scalp Scrub

Give your scalp some TLC. A detoxifying scalp scrub can be super relaxing and good for you at the same time. ORIBE HAIR CARE Serene Scalp Soothing Leave-On Treatment is a great option to try; while it removes dirt, oil, and product build-up, chamomile and peppermint extracts calm and soothe your scalp to prevent irritation. After separating hair into sections, apply the treatment directly onto your scalp and massage gently. This is an easy one—no rinsing required.

6. Smooth Things Over

Now that your skin is exfoliated, cleansed, and has been softened up in the shower, it’s shaving time! Grab our new Dazzling 5-Blade Razor and Pillowy Shave Cream to experience the closest shave of your life. Add an extra dose of softness with Velvety Body Cream, then finish things off with a little hand massage. Luscious Hand Cream doesn’t just nourish your skin, but nails and cuticles as well. Finish with a facial massage and moisturizer, and you are glowing head-to-toe!

7. Show Yourself Some Lip Love

Lip masks are great for nourishing and rehydrating your lips in just a short time. AWAKE Lip Therapy Lip Mask is a great pick for hydrating your lips, thanks to moisturizing ingredients like olive oil, argan oil, and rosehip oil. Even better, it’s cruelty-free and made without parabens.
