May’s Glam Bag Design Reveal Is Here—and It’s Blooming With Potential

As the sun starts to shine a little brighter and the flowers begin to bloom, there's no denying that spring has officially arrived. Joanne Wong is an LA-based senior designer in fashion and accessories.

“I was inspired by the eye-catching colors from the fashion trends of the 2023 Spring/Summer season,” says Wong, referencing the tangerine oranges, magenta pinks, and chartreuse yellows that were all over the runways. “I wanted to use a colorful and eye-popping pattern on May’s Glam Bag to bring a refreshing energy and also to celebrate Mother’s Day.”

The playful, abstract, oversized floral pattern printed on a faux leather did just that. “The green and orange represent the nature of mothers and the sun that radiates joy, while the magenta and pink remind us of the beautiful blooming flowers,” adds Wong. Plus, the bright pink acrylic zipper and IPSY zipper pull are a true standout.

Our favorite part? Just like you, your May Glam Bag design is totally unique. “Each Glam Bag has a slightly different pattern and colors on the bag from the all-over-print pattern, so the print won’t repeat the same pattern on each bag.” Use your May Glam Bag as a daily makeup bag, to house your toiletries for a weekend away, as a festive clutch for a daytime event, or even as a gift bag for your Mother’s Day gift (don’t forget to get the mother-figure in your life something special!).
